This course has been designed to prepare students for work in the tourism and hotel service industries. At the end of the course, students should be able to communicate effectively in a range of business and tourism-related situations. Students are encouraged to apply any tourism / business knowledge and experience that they might have as they work through course material. Course books will be supplemented with material from other sources, including newspaper articles and video materials. The course is also suitable for people who intend to take an examination in tourism English, such as the LCCI EB Written English for Tourism exam.Whether the client is a travel agent, a tour guide, a courier or a hotel manager, this course will allow him or her to function effectively in English. Special emphasis is placed on the relevant vocabulary, register and grammatical structures that are used in the field of tourism, and the client is given the opportunity to practise using the language that he or she has acquired by means of seminars, group sessions and communicative practice activities. The client will also receive supplementary tuition in the essential English language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

BHMCT (Hotel Management & Catering Technology)

Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology is an extensive 4 year programme offered by Hotel Management Department (Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism) of Srinivas University. The programme is focused on the aspect to create professionals who would be the future leaders of the Hospitality industry. It provides students to acquire advanced education and skills, enables them to understand best practices of business & entrepreneurship while developing key analytical skills to take the industry ahead of time. The programme intends to create industry leaders of the future and hence provides the students a complete package including class room education, practical sessions, industry exposure, personality development sessions and creative activities.

Duration of the Course & Eligibility

4 years (8 semesters) full time programme consisting of 90 working days of instruction each semester.

Eligibility: Candidates for admission to the programme shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary/ Pre University examinations (10+2) from state or central board or equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate 35% in case of SC/ST candidates


B.Sc. (Hotel Management‐ with Aviation, Travel & Tourism)

B.Sc. (Hotel Management) – Aviation & Travel Tourism, is a compact 3-year programme offered by Hotel Management Department (Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism) of Srinivas University. This programme provides the students an insight of the Hospitality Industry and Aviation, exposing them to the various skills & techniques of the various departments and their sections. The program is a blend of theory classes, practical “hands on” sessions and real time industrial training which enables the student to become potential hospitality professional.

Duration of the Course & Eligibility

3 years (6 semesters) full time programme consisting of 90 working days of instruction each semester.

Eligibility: Candidates for admission to the program shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary/ Pre University examinations (10+2) from state or central board or equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate (35% in case of SC/ST candidates) and a valid score in Srinivas University Entrance Test (SUET).

Adequate facilities for training of Interior Designers have become the matter of urgency

six semester full time programme extending to three academic years consisting of 90 working days of instruction for each semester.
